Deviant art reminds me of how talented I am not

I know I am never going to make anything that’s 25% as good as those five pieces.

But I am not going to get discouraged, for if I make something that one person likes or enjoys or really really hates, then I’ll feel like creating this account was not a mistake

i tried my hand at creating graphic art...
it didn't go so well
hence no recent updates
cause i am not pleased with how it turned out
i think i am gonna stick with photography

that being said
i still have lots of material to sive through
and i have started taking new pictures
so expect old work to be posted soon
I'll make another journal entry when i am about to post the new photos i just shot (expect it to be a while, for the camera is half empty)

I'm new to this whole sharing creativity thing
i'm working to find my media...i seem to have misplaced it at the moment, but i thought i would create an account now and see what everyone else was upto first (to see if it was infact a good idea to share )

i love art (i have a membership to one of the ones near where i am currently located)
Modern and Contemporary art are my favorite periods of art. I feel its when art became more about expression as opposed to who could paint really well (example...i have more respect for Serrano's pisschrist than i do da Vinci's Mona Lisa).
Photography is my favorite medium. It takes the power away from the artisans of old who would only create a piece when they were commissioned and places it into the hands of everyone. It helps people who feel they can be creative but don't think they can be artistic express themselves and their thoughts.
To me there's something romantic about disposable cameras. Maybe its the fact that the are only temporary and discarded, and mainly used to depict how some people were forced to smile when they were visiting someplace they'll never see again, but can be used to take pictures of something truly beautiful (but rarely ever is)

I'm a closed book to most (but i do occasionally open up)
